KK Restorers & KK Mega Links

KK’s BUILDING RESTORE INSTRUCTION ver.5.04

Terms:Retail box – The box you have received from the delivery machine.  Package box  / Setup box- Any box you have rez which you have the modify right on it.   Child script – Each slave script is only allowed to be ONE link set once.

The video tutorial is available on youtube.

In side the retail box you will have 2 items

A – !KK.RESTORE.CORE X.XXX (script)

B – !LSLAVE X.XX (script)

C – _CONFIGXXXXXX(NC)

How to pack-

  1. Rez the retail box and Open in.  This will allow you to copy the contents ([A], [B], [C]) to your inventory.
[note the rest of the commands should be in a README notecard that will open automatically when you open the box.  It can also contain the link to your website.]
  2. Drop script [A] into a box you’ve built.  It will initialise and chat to you the name of the config file it expects to use.
  3. Create a copy of  notecard _CONFIGXXXXXX with the name chatted above.  And edit the PRIMCHANNEL to a value of your choosing (a negative number in the range -100000 to -9999999).
  4. Copy your configuration notecard into your build.  The script will automatically read it and delete it from the prim’s contents.
  5. In your construction objects, change each object’s description (not name!) to the positive version of your PRIMCHANNEL that you put in the notecard (e.g. if you put -1234567 in the notecard, change the description to 1234567).  Using a different number for different builds allows you to have previous builds rezzed on the sim without conflicts. Repeat this step until you have all your items edited.
  6. Touch your package box to bring up the menu and select “ADVANCED” then “REC.POS”.
  7. Pick up each recorded prim/linkedset into your inventory and drop into the package box.  Wait a few seconds between dropping each item in, or the script could get confused.
  8. Always try your package yourself before letting customers loose on it!

How to unpack-

  1. Put the box on the ground. Go back to the main menu and click on “BUILD “.

BUTTONS EXPLANATION

BUILD – After you have put all items in the box and you have touched your rezzer object, there is a build button in the menu dialog. For making sure you that you are not duplicating the same structure, you want to check “CLEAN” before “BUILD”.

CLEAN – Derez all recorded constructions.

ADVANCED – Enter the advance menu interface for packing purposes where it brings the following options:

FINALIZE – Reduce sim lag by removing positioning scripts from each link set but it will able to keep all other scripts which is not related to KK restorer. This script will keep all position configurations in the description field. Please make sure you have left that field for KK Restorer scripts. Each responding object will store its configurations on its description field and reduce sim lag by removing its scripts.  Restoring its script can be done by manually inserting the slave script [B] into each link set/object.

RESET.POS – Remove all configurations from the link set.

REC.POS – Pack up all objects. You need that button when you start making a pack from all pre-configured link sets/objects.

KILL – Remove the engine script from the rezzer object. Note: this event is irreversible.

N.LOAD – Reload the NC information for setting up the rezzer.

PERMISSION – Bring up 3 user permission options.

FAQ:

Where do I input the number?

There is a description field at each link set or group. Find it and put that number in there.

Should I put the control number in the description field on the rezzing object I have created?

No, not for this version.

Essential NC configurations

PRIMCHANNEL -563100

Remember you can only change the number not the sign (+/-). Keep the negative (-) sign in the note card. Pick any control # you want and it is better to be 5-7 digits for my recommendation.

END_USER  1 or 0

1 is end user mode which is going to lock up the advanced menu. 0 is open for builders to change and alter the data.

Caution

You should not pick them up manually for anytime only when the prims are running into a no-script sim or area.

Make sure you are in a sim that can run scripts – preferably one with low lag that can run the scripts fast.

Fresh brand new scripts from the retail box are not running. You need to copy or move them in your inventory and drop them directly into your building objects in order to make them run.

When you are done of showing customer your work and you need to taking them away. Simply go on menu=> clean

Please pack items in a LOW LAG SIM and keep enough space for all your constructions in one sim, cross-sim construction packing is not allowed.
